what is diabetes
Human body gets sugar from two major sources 1) The food you eat 2) the sugar your liver makes when you do not eat food.
The body converts these sugars and starches to energy by releasing a harmone called insulin that is produced by pancreas.
Diabetes Mellitus is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin resulting in uncontrolled sugar levels in the body.
These uncontrolled sugars can cause damage to the blood vessels and if left untreated over a period of time can lead to heart, kidney and eye diseases.
