please give us a brief history of the department when it was
founded, its growth, key milestones etc?
The department of Plastic & Cosmetic surgery commenced in
the year 1989. The expertise and skills of the consultants in
this speciality has made the department strong and reliable in
terms of the good results and the success rate achieved. Many
a times the Doctors in this department have done the Hospital
proud by operating on some rare and challenging cases, like
Bilateral hand implant, Craniofacial Surgery, Neonatal (1
month) / Cleft surgery, etc. The expertise of the Doctors is
quite evident from the types of complex cases they have
performed with Good success rate.
Growth of the department has been an inseparable part of the
journey, which has yielded the following Key milestones: In
regard to cases per year were 80-100 cases in the year 1997
increased by about 10 times during 1998-2001 at the present
done 1500 Cases are operated every year under the specialty.
