Apollo Health City CEO Dr Hari Prasad conferred with the prestigious ‘Honorary
Fellowship’ by The College of Emergency Medicine , London
Hyderabad, June 19th, 2009: The College of Emergency Medicine, London conferred the prestigious ‘Honorary Fellowship’ of the College on Dr K Hari Prasad, CEO, Apollo Health City, Hyderabad, today at a function attended by eminent doctors from the city at Hotel Novotel, Hitech city, here.
A high level delegation from The College of Emergency Medicine, London – a globally renowned institute for academic programs in emergency medicine - comprising of Dr Ruth Brown, College Registrar & Chair of the Court of Examiners; Dr Helen Cugnoni, Chief Examiner for London & Chair of the Higher Training Committee for London, Dr Ed Glucksman, College Vice President, Academic & International & Mr Gautam Bodiwala, International Coordinator & President of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine were present on the occasion to bestow this honour on Dr Hari Prasad.
This honour has been presented to Dr Hari Prasad in recognition of his signification contribution to the development of the specialty of Emergency Medicine in India. According to Dr Ed Glucksman “This honour has only been given to 20 individuals all of whom have made a major contribution to Emergency Medicine, but we are particularly delighted that the Honorary Fellowship being presented to Dr Hari Prasad is the first one granted by the new College since incorporation by Royal Charter in 2008 and also the first to be granted to an eminent physician outside Europe.”
The college also awarded memberships to 6 students who successfully completed the 3 year program in Emergency Medicine accredited to The College of Emergency Medicine, London
